The TSPlayer – as add-on for DVBViewer Pro/GE – is a slim MPEG/H.264 player, optimized for playback of DVB transport stream files. It provides convenient handling, even if several channels have been recorded to a single TS file. Additionally the TSPlayer is able to play MPG, MP2, AC3, AAC, MP3 and WAV files, Audio CDs and even ongoing DVBViewer recordings, thus providing timeshift capabilities. So you may read „TSPlayer“ as „Transport Stream Player“ or „Timeshift Player“, as you like.

The outstanding TSPlayer features are:
Easy
selection of different programs and audio tracks in a TS file
PiP
(Picture in Picture) playback of a second video stream in a TS file.
Easy
extraction of arbitrary streams out of a recorded file, and at the
same time a conversion to other formats (mpg, mp2, ac3, aac). Since
DVBViewer uses the TS format for timeshift files, you may use the
TSPlayer to convert them to MPG.
Joining
of two or more sufficiently matching files for playing them
seamlessly or converting them to a single file.
Seamless
playback of Audio CDs, even those containing a data track so that
the audio tracks (*.cda files) are not visible in the Windows
Explorer.
Supports
the AAC audio format (Advanced Audio Coding), that is used in some
countries for terrestrial broadcasts (DVB-T).
Rough
cutting and splitting of TS, MPG and MP2/AC3/AAC files.
Multiple
channel timeshift - if an ongoing TS recording contains several
channels, you may watch them all timeshifted and switch between them
without missing a second!
Displays
videotext as OSD (On Screen Display), if a TS file contains teletext
data, thus providing an easy way play video files with videotext
subtitles.

Store the files TSPlayer.exe and PreviewW.exe in the DVBViewer installation folder. PreviewW.exe is only required for Picture in Picture playback of a second video stream in a TS file. Downloading and storing the help file TSPlayer.chm in the same folder enables opening it by pressing F1 when the TSPlayer window is active.
The Cue Play functions require DVBViewer Filter (DVB Source) 3.5.2 or later. Please update it in your DVBViewer installation, if not yet done.
The TSPlayer is a stand-alone application. It can also be used when DVBViewer is not running. Create a shortcut on your desktop or in your startmenu, if you like, by dragging the file with the right mouse button to the desired location.
